Joie de Vivre has made a commitment to give back to the community and each Joie de Vivre hotel pledges to donate a minimum of $200 per guest room per year to charities located in their communities.
In 2008, Joie de Vivre hotels donated over $1.3 million to over 800 organizations such as Meals on Wheels, Big Sur Fire Brigade, Berkley Food & Housing, San Jose Gay Pride and the L.A. Film Festival.
Many Joie de Vivre hotels participate in the You Can Make a Difference program, which invites guests to donate an additional $1 for each night of their stay. Donations collected from this program go to each hotel's partner charities.
