US Airways announced it will match mileage donations made by members to the airline’s Miles of Hope program through Dec. 31, 2009.
For every 5,000 miles donated to one of four nonprofit organizations, Dividend Miles will contribute 1,000 miles, up to 25,000 miles.
Through Miles of Hope, Dividend Miles members can donate to The American Red Cross, Mercy Medical Airlift, Fisher House Foundation or Make-A-Wish Foundation. Since Miles of Hope began in 1998, members have donated over 600 million miles—the equivalent of 12,000 domestic roundtrip flights. Members can donate miles in any amount above the 1,000-mile minimum.
