American AAdvantage members can earn five miles for every dollar donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure through Dec. 31, 2009.
Since mid-April, over 6,500 AAdvantage members have contributed over $600,000 to the foundation. A minimum of $25 is required to donate and you must provide your AAdvantage number when filling out the online form at the link below.
Also through the end of 2009, American Airlines will give $5 to Komen for every $50 in American Airlines gift card purchases. Gift cards can be purchased in any denomination between $50 and $1,500 and can be used toward the purchase of flights on American Airlines and codeshare flights operated by oneworld partners that are designated as AA flights.
You can choose to have your gift card shipped via FedEx (shipping and handling fees apply) or you can have an e-card sent via email at no additional charge. If you have upcoming travel on American Airlines, you could buy a gift card to use for payment and contribute to an organization that is working to end breast cancer without paying any extra money. Gift cards do not expire and you can send a personal message to the gift card recipient. The offer is only valid for online gift card purchases. Be sure to enter "Komen" as the tracking code.
