US Airways has joined forces with Reading is Fundamental (RIF), a nonprofit children's literacy organization that has been giving away books to children since 1966.
RIF distributed over 16 million books to kids across the U.S. last year and is encouraging frequent flyers to make a donation this year by giving away miles to Dividend Miles members who make a minimum donation of $50.
Members who donate $50 to RIF will receive 1,000 Dividend Miles and a special edition of the children's book Off You Go, Maisy! by Lucy Cousins. Larger donations will earn additional miles, up to 5,000 miles for a $250.00 donation.
Donations can be made online and be sure to enter your Dividend Miles number in the billing information. Donors can earn a maximum of 5,000 miles for donations made between April 1 and June 30, 2009.
