Hilton HHonors will sponsor Walk for Hope Breast Cancer events which will take place nationwide this fall. The series of walks supports research, treatment and education programs at the national cancer center, City of Hope.
Senior vice president and managing director of the Hilton HHonors program Adam Burke said, “Hilton HHonors supports City of Hope because their efforts to speed ideas into better treatments for breast cancer are unyielding. Events like Walk for Hope bring hope to women everywhere, and we are proud to be a part of it.”
Hilton HHonors is donating a two-night stay at a participating Hilton hotel to the top individual fundraiser and top team captain at each Walk for Hope location. Participants raising more than $1,000 will be given a one-night stay. Members who register online will automatically receive 500 bonus points through Oct. 25, 2007 and members who raise between $150 and $999 will receive 4,000 bonus points and 1,500 points will be given to those who raise between $75 and $149. Funds must be submitted within 30 days after the event.
Hilton HHonors has also added City of Hope to the HHonors Giving Back Program. Members can redeem HHonors points for a cash donation to the organization and every 10,000 points is the equivalent of a $25.00 donation.
Walk for Hope will take place in nine cities, with events being held on October 7 in Phoenix, Washington, DC, and Seattle; on October 13 in San Francisco; on October 14 in Chicago and Philadelphia; and October 28 in Los Angeles.
